Job Description
- 5 years of experience in the maritime industry.
- Operate and maintain sprayer equipment specifically designed for maritime applications, ensuring proper functionality and performance.
- Conduct routine inspections, troubleshoot issues, and perform maintenance as necessary.
- Apply coatings and treatments to ship hulls, underwater surfaces, and marine structures using a sprayer, ensuring even coverage and adhering to manufacturer specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare surfaces for coating application by cleaning, sanding, blasting, or other methods as required to remove contaminants, rust, or old coatings.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations related to maritime operations, including confined space entry, use of PPE, and hazardous material handling.
- Implement measures to minimize environmental impact during coating application, such as containment barriers, spill prevention measures, and proper waste disposal practices.
- Maintain accurate records of coating applications, including product usage, surface preparation procedures, environmental conditions, and any deviations from standard protocols.
- DBIDS eligibility required.
- Must possess a C12 certification.
- Demonstrated experience operating sprayer equipment in a maritime setting.
- Knowledge of marine coatings, surface preparation techniques, and coating application methods.
- Familiarity with maritime safety regulations, including confined space entry, hazardous material handling, and environmental protection requirements.
- Ability to work effectively in all weather conditions.
- Effective communication skills are essential.
- 10-Panel drug screen required.
