- $140.00 a day per diem for those that qualify
Seam Welder Job Description:
- Minimum of 5 Years welding experience in the Marine Industry as 1st Class
- Proficient with Ceramic Tape in 2G/3G - X-ray
- Proficient in 1G (Flat) - X-ray
- Proficient in 2G/3G - X-Ray
- Proficient in FCAW w Backing Strip
- Welding various metals using processes such as SMAW, GMAW, and FCAW.
- Must be able to weld steel in 2G, 3G, 4G, and be proficient with ceramic tape.
- Must be able to read blueprints and other engineering drawings.
- Must be able to read and interrupt technical manuals as applicable.
- Must have a thorough knowledge of various metals characteristic and qualities including the correct welding processes required and the effects of welding on the material.
- Must successfully pass a weld test.
Job Requirements:
- Must have reliable/own transportation.
- 10 panel Drug Screen.
- Comfortable with heights.
- Lift 50lbs without assistance.
- Must understand the layout of the ship and compartment identification Basic reading, writing and math skills required.
